How to Get Involved

There are two common terms for folks that help out. The first is known as a "Supporter."

How can an average person help a young racer in the RSWC program get to the big show? Supporters can help out and have a good time on a small budget, in many ways.

Ron Sutton's Winner's Circle conducts an annual fundraising event in Sacramento, at the RSWC Race Shop.

The families of individual drivers sometimes put on a fundraiser in their community.

We encourage you to attend, enjoy yourself and support the racer of your choice in a way that works for you.

The ways you can show support are:
* Purchase tickets for yourself
* Get tickets for friends & family
* Encourage others to join you for a fun time
* Donate items or services to the auction
* Bid & win items in the auction
* Buy extra raffle tickets or Monte Carlo money
* Purchase driver apparel & have it autographed
* Have a photo shot with your favorite driver(s)
* Invest in an affordable sponsor package

Regardless of the size of your support. We are all appreciative.

The second term for a person that helps out, usually in a larger way, is known as a Benefactor. A Benefactor is, by definition, a person who helps people or institutions with a financial donation. Benefactor comes from the word benefit.

A lot of great things wouldn't happen in the world without the benefit of people stepping up and making a difference. In the music, theater and art worlds ... benefactors step up on a regular basis with a financial donation to insure an artist, gallery or event is successful.

Benefactors take a lot of pride and personal enjoyment in knowing they made a difference to the cause they believe in. RSWC believes these young racers have a real shot at becoming stars in NASCAR Cup racing ... Indy cars and the Indy 500 ... and Champ Car.

What are some ways a person or company can be a Benefactor to a young racer? Allow us to offer some suggestions:

The first is simply to make a donation. This donation can be made to the family, or directly to RSWC for a driver's benefit. How much is up to you.

I assure you, the family and driver will be appreciative, because it all adds up and makes a positive difference.

Some Benefactors make a one time contribution, while others pledge their support over a year. Contributions can be in the form of cash, check or credit card. They may be tax deductible, depending on your situation.

A variation on the donation theme, is to commit to covering a specific expense. Benefactors in the past have committed to buying race tires, hotel rooms, travel expense, etc.

Additional ways business people can act as Benefactors, are by donating products or services from their business, that the young racer can use or resell.

Many Benefactors like to attend a Race Day and watch the young Star Driver and Pit Crew in action. Nothing is as exciting as seeing the Driver you're supporting win the race! RSWC can coordinate a total package for your convenience, and a once in a lifetime experience.
