Below are just some of our drivers and crew in the Winner's Circle.

Crew Information
The following information has been included to answer the most common questions. If you like what you see and want to explore joining our crew, you can call for a shop tour.
Who is the team? Ron Sutton, the Team Owner, has been racing for 33 years with 460+ wins. The USAC Focus Midget team was started in 2005, and has become the winningest team in the series. Randy Chastain is General Manager, Jeff Wennerstrand is Midget Team Manager and Sal Perez is Equipment Manager. Approximately 20 volunteer crew people make up the rest of the team.
The Modified team was started in 2009 running just a few races. For 2010, we’re running three cars at All American Speedway in Roseville. Two of our drivers are 3rd & 4th in Championship points and both contending for Rookie of the Year Honors. Randy Chastain is General Manager over the entire RSWC operation, Scott Rodgers is Modified Team Manager and George Fernandez is lead Fabricator. Scott Rodgers has won races as a Crew Chief in an impressive range of series including Hooters Pro Cup, ARCA, ASA, NASCAR Modifieds, Late Models and the All Pro Series. As a Busch Series Crew Chief for Brad Kesolowski, Scott gained valuable knowledge working with GM engineers in wind tunnel testing, pull down rigs and 7-post shaker rigs.

Scott's background with shocks, coil bind set-ups, big bar/soft spring setup, bump rubber set ups and chassis geometry is impressive. His contribution is huge, as RSWC drivers won 3 out of the first 5 races Scott was with RSWC as Crew Chief. He continuously develops and advances the RSWC Modified Race Team performance.

There are three status levels:
1) Full Time Employees are on the payroll and work full time (plus) in the shop and on the road. There are only 6 full time employees at this point and no openings. Please do not apply for an "employee role." We only hire employees from the volunteers who have proven themselves.
2) Core Crew Volunteers are the guys that go to many of the races, practice days and wrench one evening a week at the shop … usually Tuesday evenings. The Core Crew gets first pick on all races, fun events, perks and trips. To be a Core Crew person, a person must
* Live in, or near, Sacramento, CA.
* Be available Fridays for Practice days and weekends for races.
* Come to the shop on mostTuesday shop nights to wrench on race cars.
3) Flex Crew Volunteer ... is what the names implies ... flexible. The Flex Crew can live anywhere in California, come to the shop or not, go to as few, or as many, races as desired. Flex Crew can only be Race Mechanics initially, then Car Chiefs after 1-2 years.
Money:
There is NO financial compensation, except a percentage of top-3 finish purses. It is a volunteer position.
ALL expenses are paid for you by the RSWC Race Team. We mean "everything" on the trip is paid for you, including travel, airfare, hotel, restaurants, pit pass, drinks, catered food at track, team uniforms, snacks, etc. You get to go to the races, have fun, win and not spend a dime.

This is "No Charge" to all of our active crew people. And of course, all crew works hands on with the race cars in the shop and at the race track.
What kind of crew spots are open?
Currently we need 2-3 Core Crew guys, 2-3 Flex Crew guys and 2 people for Data Acquisition Assistant Positions. Racing Veterans and Rookies are encouraged to apply. We need experienced race crew guys to step into key roles and ramp up quick ... and we need some rookies to join and learn how we do things from A-Z. The only roles that are absolutely filled this season are Crew Chief & Engineer roles. There may be opportunities next season. Right now, we have a few openings for Car Chiefs, Race Mechanics & Data Acquisition.
Who is this a fit for?
Ron Sutton has been in racing for 33 years and won 460+ races and counting. Ron built this winning team with the understanding that people win races, not cars ... and the right people are key to winning. He has found three types of people fit into the RSWC crew.
1) "Learners" are Racers that join up with RSWC for 1-2 years to learn all they can, before moving onto their own race team or getting hired by a race team.
2) "Lifers" are racers with racing in their blood, live to race, want to be on a winning team and want to have fun doing it. They join RSWC to race, have fun and win ... without spending their own money.
3) "Leisure Racers" love racing, but don't have as much time available, and just want to be plugged into a top-notch, winning team for the occasional "racing fix." They are the Flex Crew guys that join us when they can and come to a small number of races each season.
There are two types of people that do NOT fit RSWC:
a) "Lounge Lizards" just want to hang out and drink. These are the guys that think racing is cool, but are not motivated enough to put in the effort it takes to field safe, winning race cars. Please do not apply.
By the way ... our crew will be the first ones to crack a beer after the day is done. But they put a lot of effort and care into fielding safe, winning race cars ... then they cut loose and play.
b) "Losers" who don't believe in themselves, don't take responsibility for their life, blame others, have lots of excuses, always have drama in their life and/or use drugs to escape. Please don't apply.
