Race Teams - USAC Focus Midget & Midgets

USAC Midgets:
The Ron Sutton's Winner's Circle Midget Team is a race team within the RSWC Driver Development Race Team Alliance owned by Ron Sutton. The winning operation, fields multiple cars at all levels of the Midget genre of race cars from USAC Junior Focus Midgets for 12-15 year old drivers ... USAC Focus Midgets for drivers 14+ ... to full USAC Western Midgets for drivers 16+.

In the early stages of the RSWC program, NASCAR veterans suggested to Ron that the Midget series and especially the Focus Midget series would be excellent training grounds for young drivers. The challenge? There were no independent teams in the series to form an alliance with and place RSWC drivers. So Ron started this team with one car led by veteran Louie Gennuso.

They expanded to three Focus Midgets for 2005, winning 8 poles and 5 races ... including the prestigious Turkey Night Grand Prix Focus Race. From 2006 on, RSWC fields four USAC Focus Midgets ... plus USAC Junior Focus Midgets and full USAC Western Midgets for RSWC drivers. Ron Sutton's Race Teams have a 30+ year history, with over 440 wins. This team has won more USAC Focus Midget races than any other team.

The race shop is led by General Manager, Randy Chastain. Randy is a 20+ year racing veteran of Sprint Cars, Midgets and Super-Modifieds and the lead Crew Chief on the Focus Midget Team. Jeff Wennerstrand oversees and Crew Chiefs the younger drivers in the RSWC Ford Focus Midgets ... with Engineer Kamal Amer heading up the Data Acquisition & Analysis programs.

The RSWC Talent Scout & Driver Development Program is based in the 16,000’ Race Team Headquarters in Sacramento, California. RSWC holds it annual Racers meet Business Network Mixer & Party at the shop (photo on right).
